Sailing Blind and Deaf

I see numbers flying across the sails of a sporty sail boat. The number 14 keeps coming up in large lettering, and then moving across the sail and off again. It looks like someone is shining a projector onto the sails which are white but the numbers are crisp and clear.

Then I see Jesus face appear in the sail and the next thing I hear is a symphony coming from the water all around the boat. Jesus face turns and then I see his arm and hand appear and he turns around and writes on the sail with his finger. The words simply label the numbers which are still appearing on the sail. The label says “The numbers above are navigational numbers. Use them and you will find your way to where you need to go.”

That’s when I looked down and saw you sitting in the boat. You were completely covered with a blanket of discouragement and your head was in your hands; your elbows resting on the ledge of one of the boat’s many nooks and crannies. Because you were resting your head, your hands were covering your ears and it looked like you could neither hear the symphony going on around you, nor see with your face looking down, the words Jesus had written on the sail for you.

You were starting to cry when you lifted your face to cry out to God when you stopped with a shocked look on your face and you saw the writing. Jesus face was no longer showing on the sail but the letters were still there and the navigational numbers continued to scroll across the fabric. Then you also heard the symphony and your tears changed to tears of joy as encouragement set in.

Lord of the Pond

man-turtle-sunsetYou appeared as a turtle today moving along a dusty roadway beside a snail and a white grub. On the horizon is the figure of a man and a silhouette of a cross in front of a setting sun. As I watched, the turtle began running toward the man, wiggling his feet desperately and scooting along more quickly than one would expect. The snail turned to the right and moved off the road while the grub just started burrowing down into the road itself.

After a very long time, the turtle got to within a few feet of the man and then stopped, seemingly unable to move another inch. He was only a short distance from the man but still the turtle could no longer move another muscle.

The turtle set down his shell and pulled in his arms and legs and rested his head on the ground. As I watched, I saw what looked like a tear developing in the turtle’s eye.

Then the man, who had stood motionless and statuesque until this point, took two steps forward and picked up the turtle. He carried him over a small hill where the road had ended, and set the turtle down in a beautiful clean clear pond of water.

I saw the man call to a crow and a skunk and commissioned them to go and eat the others and then he called all the animals left around the pond to join in a celebration and the whole scene sprang to life with crickets, frogs, birds, and wind whistling through the grass. As he watched, the man smiled and was very pleased.

Intended Guest

I see you sitting in the back corner of a large auditorium.  There is a crowd all around you and the ceremony going on is full of pomp and riches.  You look like you feel out of place and are trying your best to disappear in the corner.

The host appears on the stage and calls for people to come up and receive a gift.  You stay seated.  The host again calls out to the crowd and tells them that he has invited everyone and wants everyone to come forward and receive their gifts.  You see people coming back from the stage and they are carrying very interesting and unique gifts.    Nobody is unhappy with anything they have received and yet you are afraid of going forward.

Then an usher is called to the stage and the host whispers in his ear.   The messenger then makes a bee line for you and appears directly in front of you.  He touches your shoulder and says “My master has instructed me to ensure you are aware of his invitation to come forward.”  You reply that you had actually snuck in because you knew you weren’t invited.  You further explain to the usher that since you weren’t supposed to even be there, that you knew he didn’t mean for you to come forward.  You tell the usher that you don’t want to be kicked out and don’t want any trouble so you are happy to just sit where you are and at least be inside the room.

The usher leaves.

Then you see commotion on the stage.  Everyone on stage packs up their things in arm loads, and the step off the front of the stage, following the host as he makes his way through the crowd.  He stops right in front of you and with motion of his arm, indicates to the rest of the people from the stage that they are to set up right there.  The musicians start to play and the host calls his usher over who hands him an envelope.  He opens it looks at it a moment and hands it to you.

It is your invitation and it has a date stamped on it from 2 months ago.  With you jaw dropped, he calls for the usher to bring something else and while the musicians play, a treasure chest is placed in front of you.  The host opens the chest and you see a gold-plated typewriter.   On the front of it is the word “ROYAL”.

Removing it you ask why he gave it to you and the host responds… “I want to read the rest of your story now that you understand you really do belong here.”

Warrior’s Return

VictoryOverDarkness2I saw you today at the bottom of a very long slowly rising hill. You had pieces of armour, some of it was still on, and some of it you were carrying. Your sword was dragging on the ground behind you attached to a piece of chain tunic the arm of which you were holding in your hand. There were smatterings of blood sprayed around everything… not a lot but enough that you were feeling dirty from the battle and your face was incredibly tired.

I saw a demon floating angrily behind you yelling accusations at you but when I looked closer I realized you were actually dragging him as well because there was a chain attached to his neck in your other hand. On the demon’s head was a broken crown with the word “Repercussion” on it. Way off in the distance behind you was a cloud and plumes of smoke – signs that you had been travelling for a long time but also that you had come from an incredibly devastating battle.

When I looked again, I saw sweat on your brow, and a tear in your eye. You were emotionally spent. Looking up the hill in front of you, a way off at the top was a castle with white towers topped with silver roofs and flying white flags with blue and purple fringes.

Braveheart2Each step you took was looking more and more laboured and as I saw you trying to walk, the demon would insult you, hurl more insults at you and then he would stop floating for a few moments and sit on your back, holding your shoulders. You would keep trying to walk for a few steps before simply shrugging him off and throwing an elbow back at him and he would start floating behind you again.

Then all of a sudden standing in front of you was a very tall blonde man dressed in shiny white clothes that flowed in the wind; he either looked like someone in a choir gown or a wise scribe. He smiled gently at you and said “Welcome home. Give me his chain.”

When you handed the man the demon’s chain, the man gave it one single flick and the chain seemed to come to life and grew much longer and then swirled several times around the demon and bound him up into a tiny little ball that shrunk once it was tightened. The man was now glowing, revealing his angelic identity and he picked up the chained ball and put it in a bag on his side. He took out a sword and cut off all your armour, leaving it in the road and threw you up on his shoulder and in an instant you were at the castle gate where you entered into a celebration feast being held in your honour. Someone brought you a turban to wrap on your head and when they put it on you your clothing was transformed into the same beautiful clothing that was on your angelic companion – glowing and pure shiny white.

Tale of Two Wheels

Today you are a wagon, filled beyond your capacity with your payload covered with an old dingy canvas tarp. Your wooden sides are weathered and creaky, held up by a few spindly timbers that look themselves to be nearing a breaking point. Your cargo is held aloft on old wooden pioneer wagon wheels and the wooden spokes are also weathered and worm-holed.

I see you leaning to one side on the edge of a road on a cloud covered, misty dreary day. The road is wide and has solid gravel paving most of the path but one of your wheels has managed to find a very deep rut at the very edge of the roadway and it is lodged deep in that rut, covered deeper by the mud from the wet weather. wagonWheelThe other wheel is strong looking, with smooth well varnished spokes and steel capped wooden edging that has had great care taken in its painting and upkeep. It is well situated on the road but is tied by the axle to the wheel which is stuck in the mud so the whole wagon cannot move.

As people walk by they see you stuck on the side but one by one, they notice you and move to the other side of the road casually and pass by trying desperately to appear like they don’t even see you. Some busy themselves specifically while they pass you, by opening books, or rummaging through their handbags, or by engaging in conversations with those they are with. But in each case these activities only begin at the sight of your duress, and end after they pass you by.

Then I see an old beggar man, dressed in grungy looking clothes with a long beard and a weathered face. He walks with a tall straight walking stick and doesn’t look to the left or to the right as he walks along the road. Long before he sees you his path is adjusted and as he approaches you it becomes apparent that his path is directly on course for you. When he gets to you he doesn’t stop to assess anything but immediately gets to work with his bare hands digging down into the mud beside your lodged wheel. When he has dug deep enough, he takes his straight walking stick and lays it on the ground in front of your wheel, lodging it under the lead edge. Then he moves to the front of the wagon and lifts your hitch and begins pulling. With a slow constant gradual movement he easily pulls you out of the ditch and straightens you out onto the middle of the road way. Just as he does, a crowd of people have gathered and are standing around watching.

Then he looks at the crowd, then at you. In one fluid motion he grabs a corner of your dingy canvas tarp and throws it violently off the top of your cargo, sending it far off into the ditch. Uncovered now is a huge pile of gold coins and diamond gemstones. When the crowd sees them they look back at the old beggar to see what he will do next but he has also transformed. He too had cast off his own grungy robes and threw them into the ditch and in the place of a beggar is now a regal looking tall officer dressed in a regal looking white uniform with a captain’s hat now resting on his head.

Plainly Speaking

You’re weeping…

I saw angels surrounding you as your head is bowed and your heart is filled with discouragement.

When I looked up, I saw you driving in a car, with miles of cars behind you. All the drivers are honking their horns at you, and hanging out of their windows, waving their fists at you. I saw you studying them in your rear view mirrors, and hanging your head.

But I looked in front of your car and saw a family of ducks, with wee little ducklings all huddled together on the middle of the road and between you and the ducks I saw an angel, dressed in a construction hat and reflective vest, holding a stop sign in one hand and holding up his other hand in a motion to stop.

Then I heard a voice from heaven saying “Do not be discouraged! Lift up your eyes and look to Me! You are seeking approval from man, but you will not find any there. Yet you still choose to stand against the masses for what is true and what is right. Because you have not bent your will to please man, I will not withhold my will to bless you and to show kindness to you and to give you my favour from this day forward. You will no longer see the faces of discouraging men, but I will change their hearts before you as you stand for even the smallest things. I am making you into a leader and you will become someone people seek out so that they may ask your input on heavy decisions. Continue to stand for what is right. Continue to show compassion on all my creation and continue to be willing to be ridiculed if necessary for your actions but never feel less than who you really are. I have called you special, I have chosen you as my own child and if anyone comes after you in their own frustration, I will crush their assaults and turn their intentions against them so they will make themselves out to be fools and I will put their foolishness on display to discourage others. Never doubt my affections for you and always know that whatever you set your heart to do, I will do with you and provide whatever you need.

Flaming Defeated

Today you sit in a chairparalyzed from the neck down. Your arms and legs are bound by flames to the chair and there are flames all around you.

The chair sits in the middle of a pathway surrounded by flames but the path is clear. Just in front of you a white glowing warrior stands leaning on a long blazing sword which itself is made of fire but much whiter and hotter than the flames all around you.

He speaks and water shoots out of his mouth and shoots directly into your heart. It brings a massive jolt of incredible relief and refreshment and you suddenly have white fire reflecting in your own eyes. His words do not make sense to your mind but your body is completely energized by them. He continues to speak until you are fully excited and ready to break free. But he stops then and asks you in English – “Are you ready to repent?”

For a brief moment, all the relief and refreshment stops. You feel the pain of no energy and see the flames locking you in your chair. There is no question you hate where you are sitting, but it is a comfortable dullness. To repent as the glowing warrior asks, means moving into the dangerous unknown. Your thoughts return to the sensations you just experienced by the living water and you reply with a loud “YES!”

The warrior doesn’t speak, but moves around behind you. You watch from the sides of your eyes as you twist your neck, and see the warrior lift the long white sword. With a mighty chop straight down behind you, something severs. There is a painful and enormous jolt of electricity shooting in through your back and radiating to your every nerve. The pain is sudden, sharp and short-lived. Then your body returns to a feeling of normal… there is no more pain, no more discomfort and no sensation of hyperactive energy levels either. The glowing warrior returns to stand in front of you and waits.

You look around. Flames still lock your wrists and ankles in the chair. You look up and ask the warrior why you are still locked in. He replies “Your life is yours to live. Whether the flames threaten to lock you in your chair or I offer you the power of release, the choice remains yours to speak to your circumstance and subdue your realm.

AngelWarriorYou sit for a moment thinking about these words and then utter a command: “I WILL LIVE AND NOT DIE!” At the same time you lunge forward trying to break free of the flaming restraints.

Instantly there is sunlight shining everywhere. The flames are completely gone, and nothing is burned or even smells like smoke. You find yourself standing in front of the chair and the angel before you smiles, turns to walk away calling over his shoulder… “Good, now let’s get to work on your destiny.”

The Pressure Cooker

Today I saw a little rubber ball rolling through a wooden labyrinth which had many doorways leading off the corridor in which it rolled. As it rolled down the sloping floor toward the next closest opening in the wall, as soon as the ball reached the opening a door would suddenly slam shut and bounce the little ball over to the far side against the other wall. There it would continue to roll downward until it hit an opening on that side, but again as soon as the ball reached the opening, a door would slam shut sending the ball back to the other side once more.

Each time the ball had a door slammed on it, pressure would increase inside the ball and the ball became bigger. The corridor in which the ball rolled, appeared to have many doorways leading off of it but there were no turns, it only went straight. Eventually enough doors slammed closed on the ball and it grew under such pressure that the ball took up the whole width of the corridor and no longer moved from side to side.

At that point, the ball was suddenly lifted by a hidden panel in the floor and brought high up to a mountain top tower. It looked as thought it should burst but instead, the floor panel lifted the over-inflated ball and placed it on very top of the tower.

Angels then appeared all around the ball and started singing toward the ball. The inside of the ball then began to glow and after a few moments the ball was transformed into a brilliant light which lit up the entire surrounding country. Dusk fell and darkness tried to cover everything but the ball provided so much light that the sun was not even missed.

Little Toy Track

chair7I saw a picture of you as a much younger child who has just opened a door and seen a huge amazing miniature electric slot car race track. The room in front of him is enormous and the entire thing is filled with one single race track that twists and winds in countless turns. Some of the track is stacked to move over top of track and some descends and moves around underneath track but in the entire room there is never more than 1 to 2 feet of straight track.

The smile on your face goes from ear to ear and you sit down and pick up a control and the car in front of you starts to race as you squeeze the trigger. Immediately the car hits the first turn and flips off the track.

I see an older man who smiles and walks over to the car and picks it up and places it back on the track. You thank him and squeeze the trigger again but the car simply moves another foot and flips of the next turn.

The man continues to smile and patiently replaces the car once more for you and again you are ready to play.

This pattern repeats and repeats while you continue trying to play with it but your frustration disappointment and discouragement build with each crash. However the smile and the patience of the old gentleman never changes. Each time the car jumps the track he replaces it patiently. Strangely, no matter where the car leaves the track, the old man is always able to reach it easily.

Finally your frustration and anger with the car are overwhelming and you throw the control down, and rest your upset face in both hands as you lean on your elbows at the table where the track begins. Then the old man walks over beside you and picks up the controller. He places it back in your hand but puts his finger on the trigger and covers it with yours.

You squeeze the trigger again but his finger won’t move as far as the trigger was moving before. It almost feels like it isn’t moving at all but you look up and see the car is now moving on the racetrack fairly well.

A look of delight radiates across your face and you beam with excitement. The man isn’t looking at the car though, he is watching you intently with a very big smile on his face now. Then he touches your shoulder and very slowly takes the controller with his other hand. He then places it very slowly into your hand, removing his own finger from the trigger. As he removes his hands from yours, he pats the back of your hand and then places one arm over your shoulders.

From then on you both watch with contentment as the car races around the track slightly slower but never falling off again.

The Crow and the Eagle

chair6I saw a picture of you this morning. You are standing in the middle of an endlessly wide wheat field drooping with the weight of needing to be harvested, and you’re reaching out with your arms, because your eyes are tightly closed. You are looking for something and getting discouraged because you can’t see with your eyes.

A crow flies by and lands on your head. As it sits there, it cocks his head from side to side checking to see your eyeballs… because he wants to pluck them out and eat them. You seem distracted only slightly that he is sitting on your head but you continue to reach out with your arms searching for something.

Even though the sun is shining, there is a loud crack of thunder and out of nowhere a huge eagle appears soaring overhead. It remains silent though and swoops down and grabs the crow in its talons, ripping him away from your head and carries him off past the horizon.

In moments the eagle returns and lands in front of you. Even though the eagle is standing on the ground, it is the same height as you are and with a wing he reaches out and gently swats your head.

Instantly you open your eyes.

As soon as you do the eagle speaks. “Look around you and call out for what you are searching for.”

You seem embarrassed and giggle a little with shyness.

Again the eagle reaches out and swats your head gently.

This time your body changes and you suddenly become very serious. Looking around you see the field, completely full of wheat and ready for harvest.

“I need a barn and silos” you say breaking the silence. They instantly appear to one side.

“I need a combine as well as a tractor with a large wagon” and instantly one appears on the other side, already harvesting the wheat.

“Can I have my heart fixed too?” Your question draws another gentle swat from the eagle who then speaks again.

“You are not a guest here… this is your assignment. You may call whatever you need and whatever will keep you from distraction. This is what you have been designed to do. Some things are good for you and some are not. Be careful what you call into being.”

As soon as he finished speaking, he jumped up and flew away.

Then the whole scene dissolved and there was a lake of peace where the field used to be. On the shore is a cabin with an inviting porch; a plume of smoke rises from the chimney and you are on the shore running toward the lake.

You continue running out onto the dock and dive into the lake full speed without stopping.

Then the vision ends.
