Glory & Deception Part 1

There is an alcove leading into a building, and in the alcove are very ornate works of trim casing the tall double doors which are open and inviting toward larger rooms inside. Just to the left of the doors is a small hutch on which sits some bread and cakes with butter, silverware, jams and preserves and some goblets beside the decanter of grape juice.

I watched you walk over to the table and pick up a piece of bread, and one of the doors closed tight with a slam. You looked up and saw its mate was still open.

You put the bread back down and reached for the decanter, and the other door began to swing closed so you pulled your hand back.

Without taking any of the food, you rushed into the next room, not risking the doors closing completely. In this room was more ornate wood work, with rich red velvet curtains and burnt amber reddish wall coverings. There were tables all around the room with beautiful gold and silver goblets, plates and other dish ware, as well as knick knacks that had been finely crafted. On some of the tables around the outside walls you could also see gold and silver coins stacked beside the dishes, as well as rings, necklaces and other fine jewellery.

You stood in the middle of the room and from there you could see through the next doorway into an even larger room that appeared to shine with white and grey marble. This time you watched the door acutely as you slowly took one step toward the treasures, and noticed the slightest move of the door on its hinges. Changing direction you again turned and walked quickly through that door as well.

Now in the marble room you looked around and every wall had a picture of yourself hanging in a large frame that showed you in some type of victorious conquest… in one you were painted on the top of a mountain, another showed you working in a laboratory with a look of triumph on your face and a glowing beaker in your hand. You strolled toward each one and began to thoroughly enjoy all your works. Others showed you with various celebrities enjoying all types of tourist attractions, or sporting shows. The more you walked the more pictures appeared.

It dawned on you that there didn’t appear to be any exits from this room and you turned toward the middle of the large hall to see a small wooden armoire type of box in the middle. Of course the doors were all tightly closed. As you walked toward it a brighter and brighter light shone in front of it until you were no longer able to look at it for fear of blindness.

Let it Rain

chair5I saw a fire flying around in a circle in the sky. The flames were large but relaxed and came out the top of a white alabaster bowl which was about the size of a car. As it flew, gold sprinkles came out the back of it and floated softly down over everywhere it went.

Wherever the sprinkles landed, bright colours illuminated the path on the earth where it went making the area around it look dull and pale in comparison. As more time passed the path where the sprinkles fell became ridiculously prosperous with all manner of living plants growing several times larger than anything around it and the fruit matching the size of the plants as well.

Then I noticed a bronze trumpet, painted red with spiky horns growing out all around its bell. When the trumpet blasted the plants everywhere would turn toward the source of the sound and lay flat onto the ground until the sound stopped and then they would spring slowly back but always looked more withered. But the areas that were sprinkled with gold dust would turn at the sound and appeared to grow suddenly into a large mass that looked like a warrior, and would begin surrounding the trumpet until the sound was choked off. The cycle happened 3 times before the horn looked like it was plugged, inflated and then melted. In the puddle of gold red and black colour where the trumpet was, a bullseye appeared and suddenly some fire from the flying bowl shot down onto the melted puddle and consumed everything in the pool that was not golden. Then the gold itself was swallowed up by the flames, and lifted up into the sky where a blue and purple cloud formed.

The flying bowl stopped in the sky and hovered while all the colourful larger greenery below looked and pointed toward the cloud. Then the most glorious beautiful music started coming from everywhere and the purple and blue cloud dissolved into particles of gold dust which then floated back down to the earth, covering everything.

Now there were no weak or small plants anywhere, and everything radiated with brilliant beautiful colours and light.  Then the flying bowl landed and the fire spread and settled over every living thing.
