Unwanted Fire Truck

There is a structure in the middle of a field. It looks like a walled city surrounded in fog out in the field. I saw several people coming and going from its gates, each one going about their business. The walls of the structure were very unusual. They were made of ordinary stones, not one of the stones had been cut and they were all different sizes. None of the stones had the same shape and they all looked no different than any stone one might see laying around on the ground.

The unusual thing about these stones is that they were all fit together with such incredible perfection that the structure was perfectly immovable. In fact as I watched, the earth started to quake and when the people felt it they ran to the building and stood inside it. There nothing moved, not even the ground.

As I watched these people standing inside, waiting for the tremor to subside, the city’s walls began to burn. The flames were not feeding on the building though and nobody seemed to care that the walls were on fire. When the quake was over, the people returned to their moving in and out of the building without noticing the flames.

Then a fire truck showed up even though nobody had called one, and began to battle the flames. The people inside all started to notice the flames, worry and then fled the building. As the fire truck went to work on the fire, the people began to calm down and then all gathered around the truck and each one laid a hand on it. Suddenly it shrank until it was the size of a small toy, and fled the scene. The fire then blazed brighter and the people returned to their wanderings in and out of the building once more.

The Pressure Cooker

Today I saw a little rubber ball rolling through a wooden labyrinth which had many doorways leading off the corridor in which it rolled. As it rolled down the sloping floor toward the next closest opening in the wall, as soon as the ball reached the opening a door would suddenly slam shut and bounce the little ball over to the far side against the other wall. There it would continue to roll downward until it hit an opening on that side, but again as soon as the ball reached the opening, a door would slam shut sending the ball back to the other side once more.

Each time the ball had a door slammed on it, pressure would increase inside the ball and the ball became bigger. The corridor in which the ball rolled, appeared to have many doorways leading off of it but there were no turns, it only went straight. Eventually enough doors slammed closed on the ball and it grew under such pressure that the ball took up the whole width of the corridor and no longer moved from side to side.

At that point, the ball was suddenly lifted by a hidden panel in the floor and brought high up to a mountain top tower. It looked as thought it should burst but instead, the floor panel lifted the over-inflated ball and placed it on very top of the tower.

Angels then appeared all around the ball and started singing toward the ball. The inside of the ball then began to glow and after a few moments the ball was transformed into a brilliant light which lit up the entire surrounding country. Dusk fell and darkness tried to cover everything but the ball provided so much light that the sun was not even missed.

Little Toy Track

chair7I saw a picture of you as a much younger child who has just opened a door and seen a huge amazing miniature electric slot car race track. The room in front of him is enormous and the entire thing is filled with one single race track that twists and winds in countless turns. Some of the track is stacked to move over top of track and some descends and moves around underneath track but in the entire room there is never more than 1 to 2 feet of straight track.

The smile on your face goes from ear to ear and you sit down and pick up a control and the car in front of you starts to race as you squeeze the trigger. Immediately the car hits the first turn and flips off the track.

I see an older man who smiles and walks over to the car and picks it up and places it back on the track. You thank him and squeeze the trigger again but the car simply moves another foot and flips of the next turn.

The man continues to smile and patiently replaces the car once more for you and again you are ready to play.

This pattern repeats and repeats while you continue trying to play with it but your frustration disappointment and discouragement build with each crash. However the smile and the patience of the old gentleman never changes. Each time the car jumps the track he replaces it patiently. Strangely, no matter where the car leaves the track, the old man is always able to reach it easily.

Finally your frustration and anger with the car are overwhelming and you throw the control down, and rest your upset face in both hands as you lean on your elbows at the table where the track begins. Then the old man walks over beside you and picks up the controller. He places it back in your hand but puts his finger on the trigger and covers it with yours.

You squeeze the trigger again but his finger won’t move as far as the trigger was moving before. It almost feels like it isn’t moving at all but you look up and see the car is now moving on the racetrack fairly well.

A look of delight radiates across your face and you beam with excitement. The man isn’t looking at the car though, he is watching you intently with a very big smile on his face now. Then he touches your shoulder and very slowly takes the controller with his other hand. He then places it very slowly into your hand, removing his own finger from the trigger. As he removes his hands from yours, he pats the back of your hand and then places one arm over your shoulders.

From then on you both watch with contentment as the car races around the track slightly slower but never falling off again.

The Crow and the Eagle

chair6I saw a picture of you this morning. You are standing in the middle of an endlessly wide wheat field drooping with the weight of needing to be harvested, and you’re reaching out with your arms, because your eyes are tightly closed. You are looking for something and getting discouraged because you can’t see with your eyes.

A crow flies by and lands on your head. As it sits there, it cocks his head from side to side checking to see your eyeballs… because he wants to pluck them out and eat them. You seem distracted only slightly that he is sitting on your head but you continue to reach out with your arms searching for something.

Even though the sun is shining, there is a loud crack of thunder and out of nowhere a huge eagle appears soaring overhead. It remains silent though and swoops down and grabs the crow in its talons, ripping him away from your head and carries him off past the horizon.

In moments the eagle returns and lands in front of you. Even though the eagle is standing on the ground, it is the same height as you are and with a wing he reaches out and gently swats your head.

Instantly you open your eyes.

As soon as you do the eagle speaks. “Look around you and call out for what you are searching for.”

You seem embarrassed and giggle a little with shyness.

Again the eagle reaches out and swats your head gently.

This time your body changes and you suddenly become very serious. Looking around you see the field, completely full of wheat and ready for harvest.

“I need a barn and silos” you say breaking the silence. They instantly appear to one side.

“I need a combine as well as a tractor with a large wagon” and instantly one appears on the other side, already harvesting the wheat.

“Can I have my heart fixed too?” Your question draws another gentle swat from the eagle who then speaks again.

“You are not a guest here… this is your assignment. You may call whatever you need and whatever will keep you from distraction. This is what you have been designed to do. Some things are good for you and some are not. Be careful what you call into being.”

As soon as he finished speaking, he jumped up and flew away.

Then the whole scene dissolved and there was a lake of peace where the field used to be. On the shore is a cabin with an inviting porch; a plume of smoke rises from the chimney and you are on the shore running toward the lake.

You continue running out onto the dock and dive into the lake full speed without stopping.

Then the vision ends.

The King’s Request

chair4Your view begins from a very high place and descends slowly over a town just after daybreak. There is a building with round windows in the attic and tall narrow ones further down, one of which becomes the gateway through which you peer and see an abandoned moving scene, covered in dust. Inside you know the place and have been here several times during your childhood… it was a place you loved but something happened in the building which shut the door suddenly to your potential and you frantically packed all those things away in boxes but they were never moved from the old mansion.

Today as you peer in you see that the entire place is now empty except for those boxes which were forgotten… and they occupy most of the second floor bedroom into which you are looking. As you watch, a demolition ball swings through and crushes one side of the house, destroying that side’s entire wall. You wave your arms to stop the operation but look around in wonder as you don’t see who is operating the wrecking ball.

Then freezing rain begins and covers everything in ice and the wrecking ball stops swinging. You move around the side and enter the building on the second floor to retrieve the boxes. When you try to lift one you discover they are immovable. It is like they are steel boxes welded to the floor. So you begin to open one and as you do you are startled by a loud noise coming from the inside of the box. When you stop, the sound stops. You continue and this time the noise returns with light coming from inside. When you finally open the box fully, something powerful and radiant rushes from the box and enters your chest, filling you up with confidence and removing fear. Looking around you pick out the next box you intend to open.

Then a King appears… but he is dressed in everyday clothes. He approaches you and requests that you locate a box marked “S13” and when you find it, remove it from the building and keep it for him to pick up later. He asks you not to open the box though. Then he disappears.

You rush around looking for the special package but cannot find it so you return to opening the ones there. Curiosity burns inside you though and you cannot stop thinking about “S13”. Each box you open opens with terrifying noises but also with brilliant light and each one releases something more powerful than the box before. Every one of them release their power into your core and with each experience, your ability to overcome the curiosity is increased. As you open the final box, there is no sound or light. Inside you find a smaller box, wrapped in brown paper, with a rubber stamped label that reads “S13, upon royal decree.”

You remove the box, look around the room and without so much as a thought of the contents of S13, you leave. You have rescued your inner strength and retrieved a treasure for the King and have quietly accepted the duty of guarding its contents without the need to know what is inside.

When the King finds you later, he is dressed regally and you present him with his box. He opens it, removes a crown and places it on his head. With his first decree, he places you in charge of his entire kingdom and then reaching back into the box, removes a signet ring and places it on your finger.
