Change in the Wind

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????Five bald eagles sit on the branches of an old dead treetop. The blue cloudless sky provides a magnificent background and there is no sound at all. As the eagles look around silently in all directions, a light gentle wind starts to blow. It brings cool refreshing but it begins to intensify and get stronger. As the wind becomes stronger and stronger, the eagles stop resting and begin to clutch the branches with more intention.

Finally the wind gusts suddenly and all 5 eagles spring into the air at once. They all lift together into the wind before turning at the same moment and letting the wind carry them a great speed to another wilderness. In this new place there doesn’t appear to be any life. However one of the eagles begins to dive-bomb toward the dusty ground. The sand explodes outward under the impact of the eagle’s talons and it flies back up carrying a fish.

Then the others join in their own attacks and each of them carries a dinner away from the apparently empty ground – one has a rabbit, another a snake, one a turtle and the last one carries a fox.

The eagles split up in the sky and the ones with the snake and fox fly over a cliff where their prey is dropped and left. The turtle is carried to a lake high on a mountain, and the rabbit and fish are brought to a man hiding in a cave.

When they have each dropped off their cargo, they return to a large rock in the middle of a flat barren place. Each eagle faces out from the centre of the rock and instantly the landscape springs into a lush green countryside.
